Real targets Kane as Benzema’s replacement

“Harry Kane is Real Madrid’s first choice to replace Karim Benzema,” Spain’s Marca reported on June 4.

Benzema is leaving Real. The 2022 Ballon d’Or winner is arguably a “world-class” striker, having scored 18 goals and provided three assists in 23 league games this season in his 35th year.

With Real Madrid parting ways with their star striker, they need to find a comparable “world-class” striker. Kane, who has one year left on his contract at Tottenham Hotspur after the end of the season, is Real Madrid’s number one choice. Real Madrid want a top-class striker who can play at an elite level for the next three to four years.

Kane has already asked Tottenham for a move to Manchester City in 2021. A three-time Premier League goalscorer and one-time assists leader, Kane has never won a cup in his career.

Kane showed his class this season with 30 goals and three assists in the league, but Spurs finished the season with the eighth-worst record in the league. They won’t even qualify for European club competitions next season.

This has led to speculation that Kane could leave the club, with Manchester United being considered as a possible destination. With Kane looking to break the record for most Premier League goals in a season, there were only a few options for him if he stayed in the Premier League. Man City already have Elling Holland, and Liverpool have no money to spend on Kane. It’s also unlikely that Tottenham’s ‘holy grail’ would move to London rivals Chelsea or Arsenal.

The situation is different if Kane wants to move abroad. Real Madrid, who are in desperate need of a world-class striker, could be in the running. According to the outlet, Real Madrid have already made contact with Tottenham’s representatives. 안전놀이터

Real Madrid are also interested in other strikers such as Joselu and Kai Havertz, but they are not expected to be direct replacements for Benzema.
