Kim Woo-jin (Cheongju City Hall) and Si-hyeon (Korea National University of Sport) won the right to participate in the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games to be held this year by ranking first in the men’s and women’s divisions.
Kim Woo-jin took first place in the men’s recurve in the 2023 national archery final evaluation match that ended at Wonju Archery Field in Gangwon Province on the 21st. Kim Woo-jin came in 1st in both the 1st and 2nd rounds of evaluation, earning a total of 16 points.
Lee Woo-seok (Kolon) took second place, and Kim Jae-deok (Yecheon-gun Office) and Oh Jin-hyeok (Hyundai Steel) took third and fourth place, respectively, to participate in the Asian Games.
In the women’s division, Im Si-hyun, who was born in 2003 and is 19 years old, took first place in both the first and second rounds of evaluation and took first place comfortably.
Ansan (Gwangju Women’s University), Kang Chae-young (Hyundai Mobis), and Choi Mi-seon (Kwangju Bank) will go to Hangzhou in the 2nd to 4th places.

The Korea Archery Association selects a representative athlete through three national selection events each year. Then, through two evaluation matches involving only the national team, players will be selected to participate in major international competitions such as the Olympics, Asian Games, and World Championships.
This year’s World Championships will be held in Berlin, Germany from July 31 to August 6. The Hangzhou Asian Games will be held from September 23rd to October 8th.
