Samsung’s newest member, infielder Ryu Ji-hyuk, showed off his hot bat and helped the team win the series.
Ryu went 3-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs in a 6-3 win over LG in Daegu on Friday. Samsung swept LG for the second straight day to book the best-of-seven series.
Ryu, batting fifth, opened the game with an infield single in the second inning and followed it up with a sacrifice fly to center field in the third. After the game, Ryu said, “I’ve been getting a lot of luck lately and feeling good. I have a big desire to hit when I go to the plate, but I feel like I’m hitting comfortably thanks to the many comfortable situations in front of me.”
