The clock is ticking.

The negotiations between Tottenham and Bayern Munich for Harry Kane have been dragging on. The Bavarians have been pushing for a higher transfer fee, and Tottenham have been refusing.

On Friday, the Bavarians issued what was effectively an ultimatum. Tottenham’s asking price was over £100 million.

Up until that point, they had been making small incremental increases from below £100 million. When Tottenham refused to budge, Munich made their move. They offered a total of £150 million for Kane, who has just one year left on his contract with Tottenham, and asked Spurs to respond the same day.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy did not respond. He is currently on vacation with his family in Miami, Florida, USA. Tottenham’s lukewarm response has led to speculation that the deal will eventually break down.

Nevertheless, both Spurs and Munich have been linked with a move. British publication The Sun reported on June 6 that “both clubs believe a Kane deal can be done before the summer transfer window closes. If the move is finalized, Munich will sign Kane to a five-year contract.”

Spurs owner Joe Royce is currently in Orlando. Orlando is located in the same state of Florida as Miami, where Levy is based. There is talk that the two will meet in the United States to decide on a move for Kane. 먹튀검증

The Spurs are not in a hurry either. Kane has made it clear that he has no intention of re-signing. At this rate, they’ll just have to watch Kane walk out of Munich as a free agent next summer.

Munich are waiting to hear from Tottenham. The £150 million is the most Munich can afford.

It surpasses the club’s previous record transfer fee of £70 million for Lucas Hernandez from Atletico Madrid in 2019. If Tottenham refuse again, Munich will give up and start preparing for the new season.

Apart from Kane, Tottenham are also looking to sign a striker. Recently, they were linked with a £13 million move for Argentine Alejo Velis. However, Bellis, born in 2003 and with no European experience, is not expected to be an immediate replacement for Kane.
