Jeju United snapped a 10-match winless streak.

Jeju won 3-0 at home against Suwon FC in the 26th round of the Hana One Q K League 2023 at Jeju World Cup Stadium on Wednesday, with Brazilian foreigner Yuri Jonatan scoring a brace and Hayes adding another.

The win halted a 10-match winless streak (four draws and six losses) and improved Jeju to 34 points (nine wins, seven draws and 10 losses), jumping from ninth to sixth place. They trailed fifth-place Gwangju (37 points) by three points. It was Jeju’s first league win in more than two months since a 2-1 victory at Suwon Samsung on May 26. It was also their first home win in six games.

On the other hand, Suwon FC, which was looking for a second straight win to escape an eight-match winless streak, remained on 23 points (W6 D5 L15) with the loss. They also remained unchanged in 10th place and are still out of the relegation zone.

Suwon FC lost their leading striker when Lars was effectively banned for drunk driving. As a result, they were unable to fill the void and continue their good form.

The home team, led by Nam Ki-il, deployed Lee Ju-yong, Hayes, Kwon Sun-ho, and Seo Jin-soo in the attacking line, with Jeon Sung-jin and Kim Gun-woong in the midfield. The defense consisted of Jeong-woon, Lim Chae-min, Yeon Je-woon, and Lim Chang-woo, with Kim Dong-joon in goal.

Kim Do-gyun’s Suwon FC lined up Kang Min-seong, Kim Hyun, and Ahn Chi-woo up front, with Lee Seung-woo, Kim Sun-min, and Yoon Beetgaram in the midfield. Park Chul-woo, Shinsegae, Hugo Gomes, and Jung Dong-ho formed the defense, with Park Bae-jong in goal.

The game was tight at the start. Suwon FC threatened the goal with Ahn Chi-woo’s header and Jung Dong-ho’s mid-range shot in the seventh minute. Jeju then had a sharp shot from Seo Jin-soo in the 8th minute.

Suwon FC took the lead in the 33rd minute through Kim Hyun. However, the goal was disallowed as Yoon Beom-garam was fouled in the process of putting in a pass.

Jeju immediately counterattacked and took the lead in the 34th minute through Yuri Jonatan. Yuri Jonatan accurately headed home an early cross from the right by Lim Chang-woo. It was the seventh goal of the season for Yuri Jonatan and the second assist of the season for Lim Chang-woo.

After taking control of the game, Jeju struck again in first-half stoppage time through Yuri Jonatan. Hayes knocked the ball away with her head near the arc, and Yuri finished with a left-footed turnover. Yuri Jonatan added his eighth goal in as many games. 꽁머니사이트

Suwon FC, which substituted U-22 players Lee Kwang-hyuk and Lee Young-jae for Kang Min-sung and Ahn Chi-woo in the 21st minute of the first half, brought on Choi Bo-kyung in the second half in search of an equalizer.

However, Jeju scored a second goal. In the 17th minute of the second half, Hayes broke down the left side and hit a left-footed shot into the back of the net. It was Hayes’ seventh goal of the season.

Suwon FC then brought on Bautersson and Jung Jae-yong in search of a goal, but no goals were scored.
